Description

This is a great creel from John Clark! Made in the early 1900s in Portland, Oregon this saddlemakers style creel has sunburst tooling and a buckstitched basket. The spit wicker is painted green and the cowhide leather has a dark glowing patina. The creel has it’s original strap made from leather and thickly woven canvas. The stitching along the hinge is loose on one side, however the lid is still quite solid. The strap for closure is broken.

Measures 14 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ x 6″
