A wonderful, unique pair of vintage bookends, depicitng a man flyfishing. A diligent flyfisherman with rod in hand, netting a fish in mid-stream, with trees, mountains, and a fishing boat in background.
Made of a nice heavyweight base metal with a lovely original painted bronze finish which has aged to a nice patina. Each bookend has the foundry mark of 106. There is some age wear to finish, however structurally, there is no damage or repairs. Old felts are missing. These are rare and hard to find in this nice a condition.
Measure: 5 1/2″ tall, almost 4″wide at base
