This is the same style reel that Joe Brooks used when he caught the 148 tarpon when he was guided by Stu Apte in the Florida Keys. This reel is the original prototype Taurus made by the Feurer brothers. It has an anti-reverse with a click that can be turned to free-spool or anti-reverse. It would be excellent for spey fishing because of it’s large capacity.
