Before Joseph Snell set out to sell creels of his own, he leathered creels for George Lawrence. This is a beautiful creel from Joseph Snell! The basket has a tight split wicker weave and leathered with the finest cowhide leather. The leather has a spectacular patina! The creel has it’s original shoulder strap and a leather cradle with a knife sheath attached. The creel is in excellent condition considering it was made over 90 years ago.
